Meet the team hard at work to keep Moving I-4 Forward. Each month, we’ll highlight an individual making a difference in our mission to improve the I-4 corridor.
Name: Keith Slater, P.E.
Title: Program Director
Mission: Keith brings 30 years of FDOT experience to the I-4 program and drives the corridor daily. Because he understands the community’s needs and wants to be part of the solution, he offers his expertise to provide innovative ideas to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for travelers.
First FDOT Job: Traffic signal designer and draftsman
Team Member Trivia: Keith is passionate about his family, archery, his two English labradors, and anything high-tech that makes life easier.
ICYMI: Accelerating Congestion Relief
The Moving I-4 Forward team is making significant strides in alleviating congestion along I-4. FDOT released the advertisementfor the Accelerated Start project, marking a critical milestone in the progress towards delivering congestion relief to travelers on I-4 by the end of next year. The Accelerated Start project, along with the new MPDB delivery method which will be used to expedite the project, underscores FDOT’s commitment to bringing much-needed relief to the community.
