INTERNSHIP TESTIMONIALS
Hunter Santoro

“I graduated from Daytona State College where I majored in Civil Engineering. This Program offers a wide array of information—including lots of cross-discipline opportunities. It is also incredibly fast paced, which I really enjoyed. My favorite part of the program was design and leading others. I currently work for RS&H as a water resources associate. During the Program, I was able to learn a lot about various disciplines—and that has no doubt helped me become a better drainage engineer.”

Jay Milligan

“I graduated from the University of Central Florida in Fall 2024 where I majored in Civil Engineering. During the Program, I was able to connect with some of the greatest minds in the engineering field, make connections, and gain a lot of insight from industry professionals. It was a great opportunity to learn about working in a team environment and exploring other disciplines I was curious about. I currently work for AtkinsRealis as an Engineer for the Roadway Department.”

Kyle Santini

“I attend Seminole State College where I am earning a degree in Construction Management. This Program has impacted me to want to learn more and contribute to the program in the most effective way that I can. I truly believe this is a great internship program to be part of! I loved the construction phase and getting to go out in the field and understand how a bridge is made or concrete is tested before it is used to make a barrier wall. I currently work for the Moving I-4 Forward Program as an Inspector Aide Intern.”

Meher Morshed

“I attend college at UCF as a civil engineering major. This Program has had a large impact on me. I received well rounded experience in all fields of civil engineering and construction—which not only helped me in my classes but also with deciding I would like to pursue transportation and drainage in the industry. This has been an amazing experience as it is a fast-moving project with talented people from many companies. My favorite part of the internship was getting hands on experience with the programs and taking part in the day-to-day activities of each discipline. I am hoping to get a full-time position with the Program when I graduate.”

Jose Arreola

“I graduated from Florida International University where I majored in Civil Engineering. This Program really helped me become more comfortable with public speaking and improved my overall presentation skills. It also showed me that even when a design looks perfect on paper, the real construction process can turn out very differently. This Program is truly extraordinary—and offers both personal and professional growth. We rotated through different phases every other week, which allowed us to experience different aspects of the department. We had the opportunity to meet directly with project managers and various department leaders. I currently work for the Program as a CEI Engineering intern.”
