As FDOT’s Moving I-4 Forward Program is reshaping the transportation industry, our shared success depends on a strong, skilled, and capable workforce.

We’ve developed and launched a paid five-week Moving I-4 Forward Construction Training Program designed to expand the pool of skilled laborers to help us deliver the transformational infrastructure projects for the I-4 corridor.
This Program reflects FDOT’s strong commitment to building a sustainable pipeline of trained, job-ready workers who can enter the workforce quickly and make an immediate impact.

Whether you’re new to construction or exploring a career change, this program provides you with the tools and training to jumpstart your career, while contributing to the critical transportation infrastructure that drives Florida’s strong economy and enhances everyone’s quality of life.

After three weeks of classroom and simulation training, participants either continue with heavy equipment operations in the field or choose to earn a Commercial Driver’s License – Class B. These are key skills that open doors to long term career growth in the construction industry.
